Anticipation

We are getting psyched to go on our trip. It's the Tuesday before John Matthew and I leave on an exciting adventure. We are going to a wedding in Nigeria! It is the marriage between John's cousin Miriam's daughter, Tariye Isoun to Demola Gbadegesin, and it is taking place in Abuja, (the capital) Nigeria. We are excited and stressed out because there are soo many details to think about and things to do before we leave. We are sad that Rebecca won't be there with us, but with the blog we hope to be able to impart some sense of our experience there. Others that we know coming from the US are Miriam's brother, Jim Forbes and his wife Mary Ann, and sister of the bride, Ebitari (Isoun) Larsen and her husband Matthew. We will first drive to Boston on Friday night and spend the night at Matthew's apartment and have the day to make sure that all is ready. Then we fly out on Saturday night and have an overnight flight to London. We have a 13 hour layover in London which we will put to use by walking around the city. Matthew will get to choose what we do because he has never been there and john and I have. Then that night we fly out to Abuja arriving monday morning at 4:30 am their time. I believe that it's a 5 hour time difference. Anyway, more later.
